First Phase of Sky Valley Resort & Country Club Renovations Planned to Commence during the 2006 Season…….. Front Nine of Golf Course to Remain Open Until at Least October 1st ……

The first phase of the Sky Valley Resort & Country Club renovations is planned to commence during the 2006 season. The renovation plans for the golf course and the new dam are finalized, bids have been submitted by contractors and construction will start shortly after the final permit is issued.

The renovation of the golf course will start on the back nine. The new dam will be built at the same time the back nine is being renovated.

Construction of the back nine will take approximately 4-5 months to complete. Once the golf course construction and all the sodding and seeding are completed it will take several more months to properly “grow-in” the golf course. The re-opening schedule depends largely on when all the “grassing” is completed and then, most importantly, the weather.

Once construction starts on the back nine, it will remain closed for the remainder of the year. If the weather cooperates, the back nine should be re-opened at the beginning of next season.

Sky Valley Resort and Country Club has decided to keep the front nine of the golf course open until at least October 1st so residents and guests will have 9 holes to play for the majority of the season. The decision on whether to start construction on the front nine of the golf course this fall or next spring will be made later in the year.
